South Africa, as a hunting destination, has a reputation as being high fenced. All our hunting areas are not high fenced and it is the policy of Crusader Safaris not to hunt in these enclosed areas.

Todays weather in our hunting area

The Baviaans and Stormberg lodges are luxury African style lodges with all the perks and modern facilities that you expect of a hunting camp as well as the comforts that you appreciate after a long days hunting. The river camp in the Umkomasi has a luxury tented camp in traditional African style.

If requested, meals are prepared from the meat of the animals harvested on the safari. The meats are marinated and well prepared using traditional African recipes and usually cooked over open coals.

On safari, during the days hunting, there will be a cooler stocked with soft drinks and bottled water at all times. In camp and during meals we offer a variety of South African wines and beers.
