Trophy Hunting
Most of our hunting is done by spot and stalk. By using 4×4 trucks and ATVs we make our way to strategic points where we glass and hopefully set up a stalk. As the area that we hunt is so vast this enables us to cover more ground and get onto more big animals.
We recommend 7mm or 30 caliber rifles with 150 grain or greater bullets. A good set of binoculars enhances the hunting experience as a lot of hunting time is spent glassing and looking over animals. Other useful equipment is a range finder and a digital camera with the computer connections so we can view the pictures on our laptop.
Bow Hunting
Fair chase bow hunting has become a real challenge for us. We have put a lot of thought and effort into this and as a result have had good success. With our policy being to stay out of high fenced enclosures, bow hunting becomes a little more difficult but way more rewarding.
Using strategically located blinds and elevated stands over water holes and food sources we have attained a good success rate. We consider four or five animals in eight days a good safari.
Bow hunting is mixed up between walk and stalk and stand hunting, this prevents the hunt from becoming monotonous. Expect shots of between 15 and 50 yards. All camo, scent lock and other bow hunting accessories are beneficial.
Muzzle Loaders
We welcome muzzle loaders and are registered to transport and posses black powder. Muzzle loader hunting makes the hunt more challenging, with patience most of our shots will be around 100 yards. Some animals due to their nature and conditions they live in are more conducive to being hunted with the muzzle loader. We have had clients hunting certain animals with bow or muzzle loader and other animals with rifle, so you are welcome to bring both along.
