Big Game

Crusader Safaris has a beautiful concession in Mozambique for Buffalo, Sable, Leopard, Croc and Hippo.

The Marrameu complex right on the mighty Zambezi is vast wilderness, unchanged since the old days where it was regarded as one of Africa’s great big game destinations.
This vast unfenced wilderness area complements our South African plains game area really well. In both our South African and Mozambique areas we hunt the animals where they are indigenous and able to roam freely. Both areas as a result produce spectacular trophies year after year.

Together with the above mentioned big game we hunt other species unique to the coastal sand forests of Southern Africa.
Red Duiker, Suni, Blue Duiker, Nyala, Waterbuck, Chobe Bushbuck and Livingstone Eland are all common in the area with tags being available.

The best time of year for hunting Mozambique is August through November when the bush is less dense and water is in short supply. Mozambique is a sub tropical climate with temperatures varying from 50 degrees in the early mornings to around 90 in the middle of the day.

Getting to Mozambique is very easy. There is are commercial flights into Johannesburg every day from the USA. From Johannesburg there is a daily South African Airways flight to Beira. From Beira it is a short 1 hour charter into camp.
